This Vietnam cycle tour captures an incredible snapshot of lush countryside, scenic landscapes, white-sand beaches and friendly locals that are unseen by most with different terrains from flat country pathways to steep meandering passes.
Itinerary
Day 01: Rural experience

Following a small quiet path, bike south-west on flat terrain through the countryside. Your first stop at a fishing Village offers a great view of the harbour, woven boats and an overview at the local fishery. Continue to a nearby vegetable village. After learning about the traditional farming techniques, slide on small country roads, passing shrimp farms, rice fields, lush villages and old temples.
Cruise on Thu Bon River to Cam Kim Island and find out how locals catch fish with different kind of traps. Continue to cycle to Duy Vinh to enjoy the scenic views of water palms, canals, rivers and farms. Pop in at a traditional wood boat building yard then a sedge field before visiting craft families who live on weaving bamboo into basket boats and sedge into colorful mats.
Lunch with authentic local taste will be hosted at a local home in Duy Vinh. You will join the host for preparation and learn about Vietnamese cuisine. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 02: Ho Chi Minh Trails

Take a short transfer to a village west of Da Nang. Following country roads, bike south-west on flat terrain through the countryside. This ride offers a picture of Vietnam’s typical countryside with rice fields, meandering rivers, lush villages, farms, etc.
Then start hilly ride toward a Ka Tu Ethnic minority village, passing spectacular mountain views, crooked passes, forests, rock streams and hill-tribe hamlets. Dismounting, you will visit with locals and enjoy their daily activities through interaction and exploration, especially the visit to Ka Tu Village brings about a great picture of Vietnam’s untouched attraction with colorful ethnic culture and warm hospitality.
The final 8 km will be challenging towards Kieng Mountain with fairly steep hills, we will have some short rides on dirt trails, through the jungle and cross streams. Overnight in Hoi An.
Day 03: Hai Van Pass - Lang Co – Tam Giang Lagoon – Hue

• Route description | : 10 km uphill (approx. 10%), 10Km downhill, the rest is flat. |

Start on the beach with easy biking in warm fresh air. After a few kilometers, break with a photoshoot at a picturesque fishing village. Then start the moderate terrain ride along zigzag paths with stunning views, jungles, waterfalls and beaches. The 10-kilometer steep ride up to the summit of Hai Van Pass culminates in breathtaking views. After a rest on the summit, enjoy an exciting downhill ride to Lang Co for lunch.
After lunch, take an easy terrain ride to Tam Giang Lagoon on flat terrain in the countryside across beautiful villages, rice fields and hills. Then start to ride on the meandering hillside roads on Elephant Mountain. Dismounting, you will visit with local people and enjoy their daily activities through interaction and exploration. Overnight in Hue.
Day 04: Hue Imperial City

Start with a leisure ride to the Imperial Citadel. Then explore the old quarter situated on the side of the imperial enclosure, passing through mossy tiled-roof villages with nice lush gardens, ancient architecture and canals.
Continuously ride along the romantic Perfume River, then cross the river to Thuy Bieu Pomelo Village. Slide around the village to explore the traditional cultivation of pomelo, old houses, temples and local life.
Visit a local home where your lunch will be hosted with authentic Hue styled food, herbal tea and chat with the host family. You will have 15 minutes to soak your feet in a basin of soothing herbal infusion for relaxation and hand on making sesame candies with the family.
